Obituary

Mildred A. Lambert, 82, of Thief River Falls, MN died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, December 3, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral at church.

Mildred Agnus Paulson was born July 23, 1925 in the Township of Woodside, Polk County, near Erskine, MN the daughter of Ole and Helga (Ronning) Paulson. She was baptized at Erskine Lutheran, Erskine, MN on September 29, 1925 and confirmed at Rodnes Lutheran Church, Mentor, MN on November 12, 1939. She attended Mentor High School and graduated in 1944. She attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN and graduated in 1947.

Following her education, Mildred worked in Minneapolis for a short time and then moved to Grand Forks, ND where she worked at Deaconess Hospital. There she met Harold Lambert. The couple was married on June 5, 1949. They worked on farms in Blaine, MN and Hallock, MN for a short time and purchased their farm in New Solum Township, Marshall County, MN in 1950.

Mildred enjoyed playing the piano, accordion and guitar; and loved her cats. She was a member of the Rosewood Homemakers and was a member of Rindal Lutheran Church and later a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Circle in Thief River Falls.

Survivors include four children, Harvey Lambert of Thief River Falls, MN, Harley Lambert of Grand Rapids, MN, Randy (Donna) Lambert of Laramie, WY, and Paul (Beverly) Lambert of Roseville, MN; and sister, Orphie Lester of Minneapolis, MN.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Alison Lambert on August 30, 2002 and sister, Elvera Dotseth in December of 1966.
