Millie Olson, 89, died on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held on 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will be at the Holt Cemetery in Holt, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home.

Millie Lorenda Pederson was born on February 4, 1913 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Henry and Annie (Strom) Pederson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls. Millie attended Central School in Thief River Falls.

On April 28, 1932 Millie was united in marriage to Martin R. Olson in Thief River Falls. The couple lived in Thief River Falls where they raised their four children. Millie worked at Peterson-Biddick for a time.

She loved to drive and enjoyed visiting and watching people.

Millie is survived by three children: Marlene (Rawlins) Houske of Minneapolis, MN, Russel A. (Joan) Olson of Bremen, Ohio and Lyle (Merrie) Olson of Thief River Falls, MN; five grandchildren: Robert and Richard Houske, Laurie Geigle, Jay Olson and Lynnae Houk; nine great grandchildren: Robin, Rebecca, Ryan, Paul, Danielle, Zach, Alexandra, Nick and Greg; two brothers: Lylan (Roberta) Pederson of Tucson, AZ and Vernell Pederson of Richfield, CT; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin in 1976; two sons: Dennis in 1950 and an infant son; three sisters: Lorraine Vasek, Verna Puckett and Delina Becker; and two brothers: Merwill Pederson and Lester Pederson.
