Milo T. Hemmesch, 48, of Thief River Falls, MN died on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Monsignor Timothy McGee officiating along with Deacon John Eisbrener. Burial will follow in the St. Bernards Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Friday. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday.

Milo Theodore Hemmesch was born on September 4, 1959 in Thief River Falls, MN to Lawrence and Freda (Habedank) Hemmesch. He grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1978 and AVTI in 1980. Milo began his career with UPS while in high school and has continued working for them for the past 30 years.

Being with his children and his shadow "Andie dog" were special times for Milo. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, mowing lawn, and just spending time outdoors with family, neighbors and friends. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Minnesota Gophers and Twins fan. Milo belonged to the Teamsters Union.

Milo is survived by 3 children: Marissa and Brock Hemmesch of Fosston, MN, and Amanda Bottem of Richmond, MN; parents: Lawrence and Freda Hemmesch of Thief River Falls, MN; sister: Mary (John) Cornille, St. Louis, MO; 3 brothers: Michael (Gwen) Hemmesch, Fredericksburg, VA; Mark Hemmesch, Savage, MN; and Mitch (Connie) Hemmesch, Thief River Falls, MN; special friend Erika Teke Spilde, Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces, cousins, and friends.

Milo was preceded in death by his grandparents and one nephew Matthew Hemmesch.
