Muriel Anderson, 80, Thief River Falls, MN died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at her residence.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Arlen Hermodson officiating. Burial will be at Landstad Cemetery, Sanders Township, Pennington County, MN.

Visitation will be 4 " 8 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Muriel A. Swenson was born October 22, 1921 in Sanders Township, Pennington County, MN, the daughter of C. H. and Martha (Brandrud) Swenson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Lincoln High School, Thief River Falls, in 1941.

On December 16, 1944, Muriel was united in marriage to Vernon Anderson in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple lived and farmed in Sanders Township, Pennington County, MN.

Muriel was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She liked gardening, flowers, yard work, crafts and was active in a Homemakers group, This and That

Survivors include husband, Vernon; daughter, Kathie (Ray) Ulrich, Thief River Falls; 3 grandchildren, Ryan (Kelly) Ulrich, Little Falls, MN, Kara (Robert) Rode, Wausau, WI and Jenny Ulrich, Rothschild, WI; brother Herb (Joyce) Swenson, Thief River Falls, MN.
