Myra Marie Bentley was born on November 18, 1944 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Eddie and
Gertrude (Ginter) Kuznia. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Stephens
Catholic Church in Stephen, MN. Myra attended school in Stephen and at Sacred Heart in East
Grand Forks, MN.
Myra was united in marriage to Lawrence Lindholm in 1970. They were blessed with their
daughter, Jill. She was married to Donald Bentley on June 4, 1987.
While living in Thief River Falls she worked for Arctic Cat and also for the Rex Café. She did
volunteer work at the Seventh Day Adventist Clothing Center, worked with making quilts and
baby quilts, and helped deliver Meals on Wheels in her younger years.
Myra had a great love for her pet dogs and cats when she could have them. She had to give up
her beloved dog, Snickers before she retired to the nursing home. As a result her room at the
nursing home became a sanctuary for her beloved stuffed animals that she loved. Myra had no
grandchildren but her daughter had a cat named Jazmyn that she referred to as her "grand cat"
and would always ask about how she was and always told Jill to "tell Jazmyn hello and give her
kisses from grandma". Her hobbies included working on word search puzzles, quilting, adult
coloring books, working on outdoor flower beds, gardening, decorating for the holidays, baking,
singing, watching the Grand Ole Opry, enjoying the outdoors, going to county fairs, listening to
old time live music and gospel music, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She loved playing
cards with her daughter on the weekends and their visits, going out to eat and just spending time
together. She grew to love visits and socializing with anyone who came to the nursing home,
worked at the nursing home, or resided at the nursing home. Myra especially looked forward to
her visits from her brother Kenneth when he would come to visit after he came back up north in
the spring time or before he would leave for down south for the winter months as Myra said her
brother and his wife were "snowbirds". Also when her cousin, Theresa would come to visit her
for her birthday.
Myra is survived by her daughter, Jill Lindholm of Bemidji, MN; her brother, Kenneth C.
(Sandy) Kuznia of Stephen, MN; Cousin and very special friend Theresa Nelson of Argyle, MN;
her nieces, Cindy (Jeff) Czapiewski of Grand Forks, ND; Jenny Kuznia of Stephen, MN; her
nephew Joff Kuznia of Bemidji, MN; and many other great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence (Ingvald) Lindholm; her husband, Donald
Bentley; her father Eddie Kuzina; her mother Gertrude (Ginter) Kuzina.
