Nancy (Pederson) Hutchins, 46, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Shanghai China as a result of an accident.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN with Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Monday, March 28, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday.

Nancy Lynn Pederson was born on March 1, 1965 to Bertyl Leroy and Beverly Ann (Bakke) Pederson in Thief River Falls. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She grew up in rural Newfolden, MN and attended school there. She graduated from Marshall County Central in 1983. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota in Crookston for 2 years. She lived in Grand Forks and Dickinson and worked for Hals Clothing. She then moved to Portland Oregon and later to Castaic, CA where she worked for Speedo.

She was united in marriage to Curt James Hutchins on July 1, 1989. They made their home in Portage, Michigan. Nancy later returned to college to earn her RN degree from Kalamazoo Community College. Nancy worked as a church secretary. She also did some interior design work. Curt received a job transfer and the family has been living in Shanghai China since September 2009.

Nancys dedication and passion was managing the busy lifestyle her husband Curt and children Kia and Spencer enjoy. She always looked forward to planning the next family experience. Nancy had the most exquisite and unique sense of style that was evident in everything she did from decorating, to clothing to photography.

She is survived by her husband Curt, two children Kia and Spencer, mother Beverly Pederson, two sisters, Pam (Ole) Hockstedler, Newfolden, MN, Brenda (David) Larson, Thief River Falls, MN, nieces and nephews, father and mother in law: Jim (Pat) Hutchins, Milford, MI, brother in law Chris (Jet) Hutchins and Matt (Stephonia) Hutchins; sister in law Debbie (Darwin) Penn; and many other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her dad, Bertyl and brother, Brent; and grandparents; Magnus and Alice Bakke and Gilbert and Olga Pederson.
