Nancy Annette Stucy was born on September 12, 1941 to Malcolm and Opal (Halvorson) Stucy in Thief River Falls, MN. She grew up on a farm near Oklee, MN and graduated from Goodridge High School in 1959. She then attended Bethany Lutheran Junior College and earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of North Dakota in 1963.

On February 23, 1963, Nancy married Carl Gene Teigland of Grygla, MN and, after briefly living in East Grand Forks, MN, they moved to Minneapolis, MN where they then lived for nearly forty years. To this union were born Daniel Gene (1963) and Debra Nell (1966).

Nancy enjoyed a twenty-nine year career as a medical technologist: first at St. Barnabus Hospital, which became MMC-Mt. Sinai Hospital, from 1964-1990, then at the University of Minnesota Hospitals Coagulation Lab until 1993.

In 2002, Nancy and Gene moved to the Stucy home farm in rural Oklee to enjoy their retirement. They attended Oak Park Lutheran Church where Nancy was baptized, confirmed, and married. Nancy was church organist there as a teenager and again from 2002-2008 at both Oak Park and Nazareth Lutheran Churches.

Nancy was active in the Oak Park Ladies Aid and River Valley Homemakers Club. She enjoyed reading, dancing, flower gardening, playing cards, and travel. Nancy was a treasured friend, relative, neighbor, and coworker to countless people.

Nancy and Gene were happily married for forty-five years. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved and appreciated her family and upheld them in fervent prayer.

Nancy was a humble Christian servant with a deep and abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.

Nancy is survived by her husband Carl Gene, Oklee, MN, her children, Daniel Teigland of Houston, TX, daughter Debra (Matt) Haglind, Eagan, MN, her granddaughters Kristen Haglind and Kathryn Haglind, and sister Faye (Carl) Johnson, Chico, CA, also by sisters-in-law Marian (Clayton) Ostby, Doris Smeby, Carole Teigland, Mavis (Robert) Smeby, Gloria (Richard) Ness, and Carol (Andy) Wells, by brothers-in-law Glenn (Donna) Teigland and Sheldon (Lucy) Teigland; and by many nieces and nephews.
