Neil Nelson, 53, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN

Neil Alan Nelson was born February 17, 1952 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Newell and Alice (Horton) Nelson. He was baptized and confirmed at Melo Lutheran Church, Angus, MN. He grew up and attended school, graduating from Warren High School in 1970. He served in the United States Navy.

On June 12, 1981, Neil was united in marriage to Wanda Olsen in Thief River Falls. He worked for farmers in the Thief River Falls area. He also worked for Falls Diesel, Land O Lakes, and Pamida all in Thief River Falls and American Crystal Sugar in Crookston. The couple lived in Thief River Falls.

Neil enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, yard work, riding motorcycles and making model cars, planes and ships.

Survived by wife, Wanda, Thief River Falls, MN; daughter, Audry (Dan) Grover, Jr., Pembina, ND and step-daughter, Jessica Olsen, Warroad, MN; sister, Linda (Steve) Kaushagen, Thief River Falls, MN; nieces, Lora and Michele; nephews, Craig, Scott and John.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Norman and David Tunheim.
