Noella Audette, 85, of Red Lake falls, MN died on Thursday, March 30, 2000 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 3, 2000 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.
Visitation will be held on Sunday 5- 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Noella Lorraine Audette was born December 25, 1914 at Argyle, MN daughter of Emery and Josephine (Morin) Lasha where she was raised and attended school. The family lived in various places in the upper Midwest settling near Red Lake Falls in the early 1930s. On June 20, 1933 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Audette at Dorothy, MN. The couple farmed near Red Lake Falls until 1950 when they moved into Red Lake Falls. Noella sold insurance for farmers union and worked for the US Government at the ASCS Office in Red Lake Falls for 15 years. Lawrence passed away December 8, 1983. Noella lived in Oregon from 1985 to 1987, then returned to Red Lake Falls where she has resided. She entered the Valley Home in Thief River Falls in June of 1999 and has resided at Hillcrest Nursing Home since January of 2000.
Noella enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cross-stitching and traveling. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the guild, past regent of the Catholic Daughters and served on the Governors State Centennial Committee in 1957 and 1958, she was also active in RSVP. She enjoyed fishing with her family.
Noella is survived by her children Lou Ann (John) Rode Of Coos Bay, OR, LeRoy (Carol) Audette of Red Lake Falls, MN, Judy (Hugh) Morrison of Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada, Laurie (Larry) Filipinski, Lake in the Hills, IL, Terry (Gary) Weiss of Red Lake Falls, MN and Mary Jo Audette of Anchorage, AK. Grandchildren Jeff Hill, Kathy Jacobson, Dan Audette, Becky Audette, Stephen Audette, Diana Johnson, Tom Morrison, Chris Morrison, Tracy Morrison, Jonathon Weiss, Brigette Boutain, Joshua Hansen and 13 great grandchildren. Two sisters Doris Goulet of Thief River Falls and sister Laurian Lasha at Mt. St. Benedict, Crookston, MN; also several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, grandson David Audette and brothers Robert Lasha and Clem Lasha.
