Norman L. Olson, 85, Thief River Falls, MN died Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Erskine, MN.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Tim Bauer officiating.

Norman Leonard Olson was born December 25, 1917, in rural Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Gordon M. and Helena L. (Moldenhauer) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN. He grew up and attended Norden Country School.

Norman farmed with his brothers his whole life. He also did farm work for Andrew Skaar after selling the farm. He chopped and sold firewood.

He liked to fish, hunt deer, foxhunt and trap.

Survived by 10 nieces and nephews; Kathy Olson, Jane (Murray) Anderson, Scott (Margaret) Olson, all Thief River Falls, MN, Bryan (Polly) Olson, Hokah, MN, Ronald (Kathy) Olson, Brainerd, MN, Runee Washburn, CA, Dick (Judy) Olson, OR, Diane (Mark) Dietz, Thief River Falls, MN, Christ Klefstad, AZ and Janet (Ray) Berg, Thief River Falls, MN; 3 sisters in law, Alinda Olson, Brainerd, MN, Wilma Olson, Thief River Falls, and Betty Olson, Thief River Falls, MN.


Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Lilas Klefstad and Leona Olson; brothers, Lawrence, Kenneth, Glen, Norman, Chester, Gordon and Donald, nephew Ervin Olson, niece Lois Erickson.
