Omer Boucher, 93, of Oklee, MN died on Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at 2:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with Father Gary LaMoine Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery near Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee and also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Omer Boucher was born June 28, 1906 son of the late Peter and Marie (Bergeron) Boucher in Lambert Township, Red Lake County, MN. Omer was raised Southwest of Oklee on the family farm and attended rural school there. He moved with his family into Oklee in 1947 where he worked in the city of Oklee maintaining the streets. Omer entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls August 28 of 1998 where he has since resided.

Omer enjoyed reminiscing and speaking the French language. He also liked to read and keep up on current events.

Omer is survived by several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Marie Boucher, one brother Joe Boucher and sister Aldia Boucher.
