Onezime A. Bachand, 94, of Oklee, MN died on Sunday, September 30, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 5, 2001 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with Father David Super Officiating and Father John Kleinwachter Concelebrating. Burial will be held in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery at Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Onezime A. Bachand was born in Lambert township, Red Lake County, MN on November 25, 1906, son of Anton and Vitaline (Boucher) Bachand. He lived as a child with his parents in Canada for a few years. He lived his adult life as a resident of Lambert Township, rural Brooks, MN where he farmed for a living. On October 21, 1935 he married Mae B. Turgeon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee. Mae passed away on August 27, 1990. Onezime served on a variety of broads and was trustee in the church.

Onezime is survived by sons, Charles (Carol) Bachand of rural Brooks, MN, Michael (Audrey) Bachand of rural Brooks, MN, David (Mary Lynn) Bachand of Oklee, MN; daughters Elizabeth (Mrs. Richard) Rolfson of San Diego, CA and Margaret (Mrs. Richard) Wiedenman of Brooklyn Park, MN; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One brother Dennis Bachand of Oklee, MN and one sister Laura (Mrs. Emil) Nadeau of Elk River, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mae, brother Alfred and sisters Emma Hince and Maybelle Proulx.
