Ordell Bergdahl, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls, MN, at the age of 82.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Mark Helgeland officiating.  Burial will follow at the Clearwater Cemetery, rural Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022 with a 5:00 PM Prayer Service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Ordell Shirley Burstad was born on June 11, 1939 in Erie, MN, the daughter of Gilbert and Thilda (Stolaas) Burstad.  She was baptized and confirmed at Ekelund Lutheran Church in rural Goodridge, MN, and also attended school in Goodridge, MN and Duluth, MN.

On February 11, 1961 Ordell was united in marriage to Sonny Bergdahl at the First Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Together they made their home in Thief River Falls.

Ordell worked at Northern State Bank, Corner Drug, Thrifty White, and Northwest Medical Center in the Hospital Gift Shop.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her son, Scott (Karen) Bergdahl and his children, Ryan (Jenna) Hesse, Tyson (Steph) Hesse, Megan Bergdahl, and Michael Schultz; daughter, Stacy (Fred) Hartmann and their children, Grant and Faith; great-grandchildren, Cambree and Harper Hesse, Jace and Macy Hesse, and Edward Schultz; siblings, Bob (Lois) Burstad, Ione DeBauche, and Terry Burstad; sister-in-law, Dar Burstad; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny; great-grandchild, Kaylyn Katsoulis; her parents; brothers, Reuben, Gordon, and Greg; sisters, Ruby Burstad and Eunice Hanson; sisters-in-law, Lynn Burstad and Mary Jo Burstad; brothers-in-law, Goodwin Hanson, Merle DeBauche.
