Ordella Haugen, 82 of Goodridge, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN with her loving family at her side.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN with Rev. Kristin Ostercamp officiating.  Burial will follow at the Goodridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at Faith Lutheran Church.

Ordella Haugen was born March 14, 1935 in Erie Township, Pennington County, MN to Ole S. and Pearl Evelyn (Tanner) Dahle.  She was baptized May 26, 1935 and she was confirmed December 1, 1946.  Ordella went to school at Old Glory County School west of her home place in Highlanding Township and then transferred to Goodridge School in 1948 where she graduated in 1953.

She married Ronald Haugen on April 9, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN.  Ronald and Ordella had 6 children together; Rhonda, Randy, Ryan, Rory, Rod, and Rynae.

Ordella waitressed in Remer, MN and Arvilla, ND during high school.  She worked at Ekeren Drug in Thief River Falls, MN after high school.  After her marriage to Ronald, they lived in various places around Minnesota before settling on Ordella's home place in Goodridge, MN, where Ron and Ordella farmed for over 30 years.  She waitressed at Johnnies in Thief River Falls, MN, then was a book keeper at Goodridge School, and she worked in the sewing department at Artic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN for many years until she retired.  Ordella also sold Avon for many years to friends and family.

Ordella loved camping, fishing, cake decorating, sewing, gardening, dancing, singing, playing cards, ceramics, and canning.  She created numerous cakes for weddings, confirmations, baptisms, and birthdays for her family.  She also was a member of the snowmobile club, Ladies aide, and a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN.  She assisted weekly with the church bulletin.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Haugen; her children Rhonda Downs (Randy), Randy Haugen (Rhonda Noel), Ryan Haugen (Rhonda), Rory Haugen (Dawn), Rod Haugen (Angie), Rynae Harder (Jamie); grandchildren Tabitha Johnson (Dick), Heather Barry (Brian), Alisha Walseth (Kevin), Tyler Downs (Jodee), Aereal Willhoite (Jake), Lindsay Paulson (Andy), Rozlynn Johnsrud (Brad), Jena Johnsrud (Clifton), Kensie Haugen (David Lovly), Ian Haugen, Kayla Sheppard (Cory), Tasha Haugen, Lexi Haugen, Emilee Harder, Isabella Harder; great grandchildren Hailey, Levi and Kendall Johnson, Jesse and Devin Johnson, Ethan and Brody Barry, Lydia, Alexie, Averie and Jase Walseth, Kaden Colvin,  Bo, Tanner, and Lauren Paulson, Jordynn, Donnie and Jennings Johnsrud, Carter and Cash Johnsrud, Mateya and Aaliyah Sheppard; her brother, Simend Dahle; sister, Palma (Roger) Anderson; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan Haugen, Priscilla Dahle, Carolyn and Orin Lee.

Ordella is preceded in death by parents, Ole Dahle and Pearl Tanner; grandparents, Eugene and Effie Tanner, Sven and Kari Dahle; brothers, Oliver and Ervin Dahle, sister, Lillian Meitzel, brothers-in-law, Dennis Haugen and Lawrence Meitzel and sister-in-law, Marilyn Dahle; mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Myrtle Haugen.
