Orrin Anderson, died on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at First Care Hospital in Fosston, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with Rev. Margaret Jacobis officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, MN with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.

Telford Orrin was born on February 10, 1927 to Jake and Berget (Hanson) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Valle Church. He was raised by his grandparents on their farm. He attended school and graduated from Oklee High School in 1945. Orrin was united in marriage to Iola Christina Dunrud on October 21, 1973. With his marriage to Iola he gained three daughters, Carol, Deborah, and Cindy. They made their home on the farm Northeast of Oklee.

All of his life Orrin cared and farmed the land. He had a dairy farm until the late 1970s and continued with crops. He retired from farming in the early 80s when he rented out the farm. They also owned the Laundromat in Oklee for a few years. Orrin and Iola moved into town in 2003.

He and Iola enjoyed antiques and old furniture. They collected many things. He liked old clocks and repairing them. His home was filled with many clocks. Orrin was not a procrastinator and liked things done now. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee and had served on the church council. He served on the township board and helped with the Garnes Township elections for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Janssen, Madison, WI; Cindy (Randy) Lucek, Breckenridge, MN, 4 grandchildren: Charles Bright, Newport Beach, CA, Jennifer Boucher, Austin, TX, Nolan Boucher, St. Cloud, MN, Donovan Boucher, Duluth, MN, sister Olivia (Bob) Newland, Fargo, ND, niece and nephew.

Orrin was preceded in death by his wife Iola on March 6, 2007, daughter Carol in 2003, parents, and step father Oscar Swenson, his grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
