Orris Olson, 91, of Oklee, MN died on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at the Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls where he has resided the past two years. Petterson Funeral Home of Oklee.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2000 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee with Reverend Robert Paulson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Zion Cemetery at Oklee, MN.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:30 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Orris Olson was born on July 2, 1908 in Star Township, Pennington County, MN son of Guttorm and Olga (Bernsten) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Ekelund Lutheran Church rural Goodridge, MN. He attended country school.
He married Mollie Iverson on February 17, 1931 in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple lived and farmed in the Goodridge area. He was active in the community, serving on the township board, serving many years on the School board, church council and F.H.A. Advisory council. He enjoyed music, visiting his friends and neighbors and playing cards. In 1974 they retired and moved to Oklee, MN. Mollie passed away on April 8, 1981.
He married Helen Torkelson on July 1, 1983 in Thief River Falls, MN. They continued to live in Oklee until he entered Oakland Park Nursing Home at Thief River Falls in February of 1998. Helen passed away June 6, 1999.
Orris is survived by his son Gerald (Marilynn) Olson of Reno, NV: daughters Marian (Dick) Marquis of Oklee, MN; Ramona (Don) Mossestad of El Sobrante, CA and Leone (Verl) Leckron of Grand Island, NE. 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Brothers Gilman (Shirley) Olson of Seattle, WA, Archie (Donna) of Blaine, MN: sisters Clara (Adolph) Larson, Ulen, MN; Alice (Irvin) Iverson, Thief River Falls, MN and Evelyn (Norman) Larson of Moorhead, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wives Mollie and Helen, brothers Gustav and Bennie and sister Hannah Larson, also one great-grandson Seth.
