Palma Nora Hornseth was born on July 17, 1911 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Peder and Nellie (Neilson) Hornseth. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Palma attended country school, the NW School of Agriculture in Crookston, and the Union Business College in Grand Forks.

Palma was united in marriage to Orville Harold Heieren on June 26, 1948 in Thief River Falls. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls where Palma worked for the City Utilities Department. She was the Head Bookkeeper for 34 years and her office was located in the city auditorium.

Palmas interests included knitting, crafts, flower beds, gardening, and feeding the birds and squirrels.

She was a member of Abundant Life Church in Thief River Falls.

Survivors include14 nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Emil (Audrey) Heieren; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn Peterson and Janet Heieren all of Thief River Falls.

Palma is preceded in death by her husband Orville in 1993; 3 brothers, Rudolph, Theodore, and Einar; her parents; and sister-in-law, Hannah Hornseth.

Palma Polly Heieren died on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, MN at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 28 days. May her memory be blessed.
