Pamela Ann Berger Russo, age 54, died from cancer on April 9, 2008, at her home overlooking the Hams Fork River near Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Pam was born on March 29, 1954 in Greenbush, MN, to Gilmer (Bud) and Jackie (Gullickson) Berger of Detroit Lakes, MN. Pam graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 in Thief River Falls, MN and attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN. Pam was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, and later married at Trinity to Frank Russo.
Pam loved to travel and acquired itchy feet each spring and fall. She was passionate about her family, friends and antiques. She had a discerning eye for colors, clothes and interior design. Pam welcomed adventure. A sharp and witty sense of humor is her legacy. Pam possessed the spirit and the power to live life her way, yet she retained the beauty, charm and grace of a classy dame.
Pam had an entrepreneurial nature and wore many hats throughout her life. Managing and owning a fencing company, a trucking company, a manufacturing company and most recently becoming a real estate baroness. The woman was passionate, fearless and fun to be around.
She is survived by her brothers, Greg (wife Robbie) Berger of Kemmerer, WY; Mitchell (Wanda) of Diamondville, WY; Scott (wife, Rachel) of Roberts, WI; her mom and dad, her husband, Frank Russo, of Kemmerer, WY; along with her beloved aunts, Bonita Borgeson and Peggy (Margaret) Shimpa of St. Hilaire, MN and an uncle, Thomas (wife, Lynn) Gullikson from Middle River, MN. Pam remained close with her nephews, Blain Berger and family of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Lance Berger of St. Hilaire, MN; Hank and Von Berger, Roberts, WI; along with David Jenson, of Diamondville.
Pam collected extended family members on her life journey, all of whom she cherished. Her vast army of friends and family, who loved her dearly, wish to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and hospice care in Kemmerer for their wisdom, care and patience. A special tribute and thanks to her dear friends, Sabrina Carlisi and Susie Olson Vehar who cared for Pam, enabling her to remain at home until her passing.
Memorials are asked to be given to the Lincoln High School Class of 72 Scholarship Fund, the Pipe Organ Restoration Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls for the Pamela A. Russo College Fund, which will be used for students/families impacted by cancer.
