Pamela "Pam" Jean Hamilton (Rux) passed away at Altru Hospital on February 9, 2025, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. On April 11, 1962, she was born to Orlie Serguis and Donna Mae (Scott) Rux in Key West, Florida, Pam lived a life dedicated to caring for others and making a difference in the lives of those around her.
Pam graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, in 1980. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing, earning her degree from Itasca Campus of Minnesota North College in 1989. Throughout her career, Pam worked as a home health care nurse in the Twin Cities and Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She also contributed her skills and compassion to Pathfinders and Glenmore Recovery Center in Thief River Falls before later working at Digi-Key.
She is survived by her daughters, Casey Horgeshimer and Majesta (Joel) Allen, both of Thief River Falls; grandchildren, Kyler (Summer) of Grand Forks and Jordan of Thief River Falls; and great-grandson, Jay of Grand Forks. Pam is also survived by her mother, Donna; siblings, Duane (Jane) Rux and Susie Lerol, both of Thief River Falls; nieces and nephews, Britney, Jacob, Josh, Shyanne, and Michelle; great-nieces and nephews, Theron, Kaidence, Nikolai, and Amias; Bonus Children, Christopher Abrahamsen of St. Cloud, MN, Thomasine Warmington of Australia, and Katharina Bergmann of Germany; as well as aunt, Betty Brownlee, Ft. Worth, TX; uncles, Donnie (Cheryl) Scott, St. Hilaire, MN; Kenny Scott, St. Hilaire, MN; Raymond (Cindy) Scott, Red Lake Falls, MN; Richard (Micki) Scott, St. Hilaire, MN along with many cousins and friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Orlie Rux; brothers, Jason Rux and DelRay Rux; grandparents, Walter and Lily Rux and Donald and Evelyn Scott; uncles, Floyd (Lillian) Rux, Franklin (Wendy) Rux, Delmer (Gloria) Rux, and Clayton (Jean) Rux; and aunts, Wanda (Clarence) Schroeder, June (Cecil) Olson, Viola (Erwin) Melvie.
Pam's kindness and dedication to others will be remembered by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.
