Patricia "Patty" Olson, 49, died on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, January 15, 2007 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father John Kleinwachter presiding. Burial will be in St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 4:00 P.M. Prayer Service on Sunday afternoon and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Patricia Ann Riopelle was born on October 28, 1957 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Richard Arthur and Margery J. (Karr) Riopelle. She was baptized at St. Rose Catholic Church in Argyle. Patty attended school in Argyle where she played volleyball and basketball, graduating from Argyle High School in 1977. Following High School, Patty worked at Whiteys Caf in East Grand Forks, MN for one year. She then attended and graduated from Cosmetology at Northland College in Thief River Falls. She worked at Pizza Hut while attending college.

Patty was united in marriage to Mark Alan Olson on June 14, 1980 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Argyle. The couple lived in Thief River Falls and Patty worked at Model Barbers for five years, then at Creative Clippers for 15 years. She then began working in the Bakery at Super One, and worked there for 8 years.

She enjoyed painting, drawing, crocheting, hunting with bow and rifle, baking, canoeing, fishing, sewing, camping, archery tournaments, gardening, flower gardening, and playing cribbage and all kinds of cards. She was a member of the Thief River Falls Archery Club.

Patty is survived by her husband, Mark of Thief River Falls, MN; three daughters: MaryJo Olson of Thief River Falls, MN, Ashley Olson of Florian, MN and Amanda Olson of Thief River Falls, MN; her mother, Margery Riopelle of Argyle, MN; one brother, Larry (Peggy) Riopelle of Argyle, MN; three sisters: Khadijah Riopelle (Halil) of Fridley, MN, Debbie (Mark) Bjerke of Pelican Rapids, MN and Gail (Kevin) Nadeau of Pine, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Richard; one brother, Guy Riopelle; and her father-in-law, George Olson.
