Patricia "Patsy" Reed of Thief River Falls, MN age 85 died on Friday, January 08, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with her loving family at her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Bernard's Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Patricia "Patsy" Ann Brunelle was born July 30, 1930 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Crookston, MN, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Caroline Marie (Goulet) Brunelle. She was baptized in August of 1930 and confirmed in spring of 1944 at St. Dorothy's Church, Dorothy, MN. She attended country grade schools and Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN and Lincoln High School, Thief River Falls, MN, graduating in 1948.

On September 11, 1952, Patsy was united in marriage to Robert Norman Reed at St. Bernard's Church, Thief River Falls by Father Patnode. To this union 5 children were born, Renee, Bonnie, Daniel, Patty and Sheryl. She worked at the Mint Café for 6 years, Eagle's Club for 27 years, Heritage Center and in various other places in Thief River Falls.

Patsy was a member of St. Bernard's Church, Thief River Falls, American Legion Auxiliary and Hospital Auxiliary, Thief River Falls. She enjoyed charity work and visiting CNC and Valley Home, Thief River Falls, Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, MN and Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN. Patsy liked being a homemaker, indoor plants and gardening, reading, but especially, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by children: Renee Lahtinen, Thief River Falls, MN, Bonnie (Rod) Wentzel, Bemidji, MN, Patty (David Miller) Liden, Grand Forks, ND and Dan (Ellen) Reed, Kaunakakai, Molokai, Hawaii ; 7 grandchildren, Ben (Lucy) Liden, Adam (fiance, Ellen Abel) Liden, Cody Wentzel, Tyler (Sarah) Wentzel, Mary Wheeler, Sara Wheeler, Anna Lahtinen; 3 great-grandchildren, Paul, Grayson, and Barrett; sister, Gloria Roy, Longmont, CO; and many other relatives and friends.

Patsy is preceded in death by husband, Robert on January 16, 2012; daughter, Sheryl; parents, Patrick and Caroline Brunelle, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brunelle and Mr. and Mrs. John Goulet, brother-in-law, Larry Roy; and several uncles and aunts.
