Patricia "Pat" Ueland, Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the age of 67.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Interment will follow at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at the church on Friday.

Patricia "Pat" Diane (Lambert) Ueland was born on February 4, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI. When very young her family moved to the Oklee/McIntosh area, then to Thief River Falls where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. In July 1969 she was married to Ronald Ueland and had four children Natalie, Jeff, Greg, and Nick.

Pat attended the AVTI in Thief River Falls after high school and gained employment with the State of Minnesota Department of Economic Security and worked in several capacities within that organization for 25 years.

Pat was an extremely kind and creative person and a good cook. She showed a great deal of acceptance, empathy, and compassion for others. One of her greatest abilities was to build positive connections and relationships with almost everyone she met.  Pat was happiest when she was visiting friends and family. She loved big holiday get togethers, to read, and had a keen interest in politics. A highlight of hers was attending Roseville Raider High School Girls Volleyball games for whom her son Greg coaches. In her retired life, she took the opportunity to travel including a long trip to Africa with her sister Carolyn. Most often she traveled to visit family and dote on her three grandchildren.

Three years ago, Pat was diagnosed with cancer and lost her struggle against the disease on November 8th, 2016. She was surrounded by family.

Patricia is survived by her children: daughter Natalie (Patrick) Price of Cedar, MN; son Jeffrey (Julie) Ueland of Bemidji, MN; son Gregory Ueland of St. Paul, MN; son Nicholas (Kate) Ueland of Seattle, WA. Siblings: brother Jim (Carol) Lambert of Thief River Falls, MN; sister Carolyn Bidleman of Seattle, WA, sister Irene (Harley) Danielson of Fargo, ND; brother Richard Lambert of Thief River Falls, MN; and sister Kay Lambert of Moorhead, MN. Grandchildren Marley Ueland, Simone Ueland, Trigve Ueland, and Finnley Ueland and number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in Death by her Father Walter Lambert and mother Evelyn Lambert.
