Patrick Poole, 76, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 3 - 6 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service at St. Bernard's Catholic Church and also on Monday one hour prior to the service on Monday. Patrick James Poole was born December 1, 1938 at Drayton, ND son of the late Elmer and Ella (Brew) Poole. The family moved to Thief River Falls from Strathcona in 1941. Pat was confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, attended school there and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. Pat lived in Thief River Falls and was employed by the United Postal Service for 34 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, he was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoyed spending time with his friends at the American Legion. He was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Legion and the Elks Club. Pat is survived by his siblings Munro (Jone) Poole of Thief River Falls, MN, Joe (Barb) Poole of Mesa, AZ, Jack (Sharon) Poole of Green Bay, WI, Mike (Diana) Poole of Hackensack, MN, Larry (Ellerine) Poole of Thief River Falls, MN, Tony (Alice) Poole of Green Bay, WI, Bill (friend Patty Dicken) Poole of Fourtown, MN, Muriel Poole of Thief River Falls, MN: many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Liz Aasand, nephews Brett and Brandon Poole and nieces Kim Bergland and Alison Petrich.
