Paul Theordore Borgie was born October 31, 1917, at Hazel, MN, the son of Paul and Tillie (Hestekind) Borgie. The family moved to Fargo, ND when Paul was 7 years old, where he attended Jefferson Elementary School. He worked for 3 years for his father at the George Borgie Grocery Store. He worked 2 years at the Menasha Wooden Works, in Menasha, WI and then moved to Duluth, MN. In 1941, he moved to California and spent 40 years as an Heavy Equipment Operator, Operating Engineer for the local 12. He lived in the San Fernando Valley.
On June 26, 1946, Paul was united in marriage to Daisey C. Coffey at Los Angelos, CA.
He moved to rural Thief River Falls, MN in 1987 up until two years ago when he moved into the Sommerset residence.
Paul loved to dance; he would dance five nights a week. He also loved old time movies and the actors and actresses and their Hollywood lives. He also liked to garden and would prune his plants so that his place looked like Disneyland.
He is survived by daughter, Anita Ruth (Sam) Bell, Nevada City, CA; son, David Borgie, San Fernando Valley, CA; 6 grandchildren; Kimberly, Kelly Bargas, Kristi, Michael Dickson, Daniel Dickson, Robin Dickson, __ great grandchildren Matthew, Spencer, Madison, Christopher; sister, Hazel (Lloyd) Nyborg, Fargo, ND; brother, Axel Borgie, Fargo, ND. He is also survived by dear friend and dancing partner of 11 years, Hazel Schultz, and dear friends, Gordon and June Thrane.
Preceded in death by wife, Daisey on July 3, 1986, parents, two brothers, Perry and Bob, sister Grace.
