Paul J. Flanagan was born January 6, 1935 at Dunmore, PA, the son of Joe and Dorothy (Cummins) Flanagan. He grew up and attended St. Patricks School in Scranton, PA. He entered the United States Navy in 1953 and served on the USS Sarsfield. He was a Koarean War Veteran and was honorably discharged in 1955.

On June 12, 1976, Paul was united in marriage to Doris J. Tallum at Grand Forks, ND. He was a truck driver and worked various jobs in between, such as painter, security, mining and also worked as a driller in oil fields in Texas.

Paul was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2793. He enjoyed reading and wildlife shows on TV.

Survived by wife, Doris, Thief River Falls, MN.

Preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Joe and Dorothy Flanagan.
