Paul Fournier, 87, of Red Lake Falls, MN formerly of Oklee, MN died on Friday, December 31, 1999 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN with Father Gary LaMoine Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery near Oklee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church only.

Paul Delphus Fournier was born August 31, 1912 at Terrebonne, MN son of Isaac and Zeia (Boucher) Fournier. He was raised and attended school in the Terrebonne area. On October 1, 1940 he was united in marriage to Ida Derosier at Crookston, MN. Paul worked at the Tow Mill in Red Lake Falls for a time, at the Airforce Base in Grand Forks and retired from Jiffy fry in Crookston. Paul enjoyed fishing as a pastime.

He is survived by his daughter Paulette Januszewski of Erskine, MN, sons Ronald Fournier of White Bear Lake, MN and John Fournier of Oklee, MN. Nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sisters Florence Arndt of Red Lake Falls, MN, Fay Cyr of Lakewood, CA, and Lorraine Harr of Homesdale, ID.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ida Fournier, infant daughter Julie, brother Sam Fournier, sister Susan Gregory and great granddaughter Connie Brekke.
