Paul Grandbois, 84, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Saturday, May 09, 1998 at the CNC Unit of North West Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Gary LaMoine Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 Prayer service at the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Paul George Grandbois was born June 30, 1913 in Browns Creek Township, Red Lake County, MN son of Felix and Elizabeth (Gedde) Grandbois. He was raised and attended school there. He was united in marriage to Harriet Hall on June 22, 1943 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, MN. The couple lived and farmed in Browns Creek Township all of their lives. They moved to Thief River Falls in December of 1997.
Paul was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, served 28 years as the chairman of the Browns Creek Township board and was also a member of the Red Lake Falls Rural Fire Association.
He is survived by his wife Harriet Grandbois of Thief River Falls; three children Elizabeth Spurrier (James) of Burnsville, MN; Richard Grandbois (Kathryn) of St. Hilaire, MN and Patricia Woods (Ron) of Portage, PA: five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: brothers and sisters Esther Page of Red Lake Falls; Ralph Grandbois (Albina) of Cudahy, WI; Lucy Bruneau (Leonard) of Minnetonka, MN and Mary Grundhaus of Thief River Falls, MN. Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
His parents precede him in death: infant son Philip; Sister Alice Roy and Brother James Grandbois.
