Paul Fritz Klamar, was born May 7, 1936 in Rollis Township, Gatzke, MN, to Alma (Lippold) Klamar and Arthur Klamar. Paul was one of six children. He was baptized and confirmed at United Lutheran Church in Gatzke, MN. Paul received a 12 ^th grade education and graduated from Middle River High School in 1954.  He joined the Army in 1959 where he went to Korea to serve in the signal core division working on communications and was Honorably Discharged.

Paul met Laura through his brother Roland Klamar. After a short courtship Paul and Laura were married at Clara Lutheran Church in Hazel, MN on January 20 ^th 1962. They raised 2 children Kari and Blair on a family farm near Gatzke.

Paul loved outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and flying his Citabria airplane. Paul enjoyed planting and tending to a large vegetable garden, where they grew several pounds of vegetables a year. He enjoyed farming the land he grew up on with his brothers, and spending time with his family and friends. Paul was a hardworking and dependable man who was always there with a smile and the will to go the extra mile for anyone.

Paul will be deeply missed and remembered always by his daughter Kari (Dean) Dolezal of Prior Lake MN, four grandchildren Kody Dolezal (Jodi Dolezal) of Lonsdale, MN, Hailey Tupy (Bryan Tupy) of New Prague, MN, Rylan Klamar, Ellie Klamar, daughter-in-law Sarah Klamar Berg (Mike Berg) of Stephen, MN. He is also survived by two sister-in-laws Mildred (Roland) Klamar of Gatzke, MN, Rosie (Don) Fulton of Warren, MN and one brother-in-law William Peterson of Plummer MN, Brother Harold (Doris) Klamar of Gatzke, Clifford (Mary) Klamar of Gatzke, Sister Lorraine (Raynold) Monsrud of Roseau, MN and many Nieces and Nephews.

There to greet Paul in heaven are his parents; Wife Laura Klamar, Son Blair Klamar, Brother Roland Klamar, Sister Margaret Kaml, Brother-in-laws Lowell Peterson, Don Fulton, Douglas Nordby, Willard Kaml; a niece; four nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Paul Fritz Klamar of New Prague, MN formerly Gatzke, MN went to the Lord on Thursday, December 6 ^th , 2018 at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague, MN surrounded by his family at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 30 days. May his memory be blessed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with Military Honors at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Lunch and fellowship will follow the military honors and burial will follow at Landstad Cemetery near Gatzke, MN.
