Pauline Aubol, 78, of Thief River Falls, MN died on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Mark Helgeland officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in St. Hilaire, MN.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.
Pauline O. Senart was born on August 12, 1932 in Cold Spring, MN the daughter of Sostene and Mary (Maile) Senart. Pauline was baptized into the Catholic faith. She grew up on a farm where the family only spoke German and the family moved into Cold Spring during her grade school years. Pauline graduated from St. Boniface High School in Cold Spring in 1950. While in high school she was a cheerleader.
While working at a caf in Cold Spring, she met her future husband, Chet. Following high school, Pauline moved to St. Cloud and lived with her sister, Caroline, where she worked at a Laundromat. In 1952 Chet entered into service with the U.S. Army. Upon his return from Germany, Chet moved to Thief River Falls to start his career with S.C.S. and Pauline followed a few months later. The couple was married on December 31, 1955 in Thief River Falls, MN and to this union two children were born, Steve and Lois. They continued to reside in Thief River Falls.
She was a stay at home Mom and was an independent business woman. She sewed for others, specializing in wedding dresses and draperies. Pauline was a life long member of the Chat And Chew Homemakers Club, serving as president of the Pennington County Homemakers Council. She was also an active member of the Washington School PTA where she was on the Executive Board. Pauline was always active at the Pennington County Fair and was awarded 2007 Outstanding Pennington County Senior Citizen. She was recognized for volunteering over 4000 hours with the hospital auxiliary.
Pauline was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was active with the Altar Guild, and every year she planned the Soil Conservation dinner. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #2793. Pauline was also an election judge for many years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Chet of Thief River Falls; daughter, Lois Ann (Kevin) Reff of Fergus Falls, MN; granddaughters, Jennifer Reff of Davenport, IA and Nicole Aubol of Greeley, CO; brother, Al (Jean) Senart of Junction City, CO; sister, Clementine Tina Nelson of St. Cloud, MN; and favorite niece, Yvonne Jensen of St. Cloud, MN; and many other relatives and friends.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Sostene and Mary; son, Steve; daughter-in-law, Laurie; sister, Caroline Habedank; and brothers, Aloys and Sylvester.
