Pearl Marie Habedank was born on July 8, 1930 at Mavie, MN the daughter of Charles and Alice (Hruby) Habedank. She attended country school near Mavie and graduated from Goodridge High School with the class of 1947. Following high school, Pearl moved to the Twin Cities to work for a time and returned to Thief River Falls, MN where she worked for Peterson-Biddick.
On October 6, 1949 Pearl was united in marriage to Laverne Adamson and the couple made their home in Thief River Falls, MN. To this union 5 children were born, Linda, Lloyd, Randall, Susan and Marsha. While raising her kids, Pearl worked as a bookkeeper for several accounting firms and did income tax returns for friends and family. She also worked with her husband Vern as they owned and operated Vern's Super Service and then Vern's Outdoor Sports, now known as RV Sports. Pearl and Vern also farmed just west of Thief River Falls, where they moved in 1960.
Pearl enjoyed planting and caring for flowers in her large farmyard, making the yard distinctive and something that visitors often commented on. In 1976 Pearl and Vern purchased a cabin on Clearwater Lake in Clearwater County where they enjoyed spending weekends fishing and simply enjoying the lake. They were often joined by their children and grandchildren at the cabin, providing for special memories for the whole family. Pearl always had activities that she would plan to do with the grandchildren when they visited the lake or farm and all the grandchildren remember the good times they had. Pearl also had a special place in her heart for the great grandchildren. Pearl enjoyed bowling, participating in several leagues for most of her adult life. She was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 2013.
Pearl was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary and served as a 4-H leader.
