Peggy Peterson, 55, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Rick Hensel officiating. Burial will be at the First English Lutheran Cemetery in Mentor, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer service on Wednesday evening and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Margaret Emma Peggy Misson was born March 19, 1952 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Merle and Donna (McNeese) Misson. The family lived in Mentor, Crookston and Fosston area, returning to Mentor in 1966. Peggy attended Mentor High School, graduating in 1971. She worked as a waitress in Mentor and Crookston following graduation.

Peggy was united in marriage to Neil Peterson on June 16, 1972 in Erskine, MN. After their marriage the couple lived in Crookston, MN and Northwood, ND, returning to rural Mentor in 1981. Peggy worked for Anderson Fabric in Crookston and for the past 13 years she worked at Ness Cafe in Erskine, MN.

She loved being around people and will be remembered for her laughter, quick wit, and her loving and caring way. Peggys husband, children, grandchildren and family meant the world to her. They traveled many places in the United States as a family, also to family reunions on both sides of the family, every year. Peggy enjoyed attending UND girls basketball games whenever possible. Every week day morning, she would meet her brother, Mike, and friends at Fuel-N-Things for a cup of cappuccino, before going to work.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Neil of Mentor, MN; one son, Chad (Beth) Peterson of Mentor, MN; one daughter, Jody (Jeremy) Hutchinson of Fargo, ND; four grandchildren: Patience, Alyssa, Daniel, and Lilly Peterson; her mother, D. Eldora Tice of Mentor, MN; father-in-law, Robert Peterson of Erskine, MN; sisters: Kitty (Luverne) Lomen, Patricia (Gary) Olson, Betty (Kenneth) Lomen, all of Lengby, MN, Pennie (Chad) Korynta of Grand Forks, ND; brothers: Michael Misson of Erskine, MN, and Timothy (Kristi) Tice of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, May Tice of Grand Forks, ND; step brothers: Gaylord (Mary Ann) Tice of Shreveport, LA, Richard (Jeannie) Tice and James Tice of Cropwell, AL; and step sister, Carol (Larry) Kisk of Birmingham, AL.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Merle Misson; step-father, Virgil Tice; brother, Kelly Tice; her grandparents; Mildred and Fred Misson, Frank McNeese, Sophie and August Peterson, Maude and Wilson Tice; and mother-in-law Rose Peterson.
