Obituary

Pete Bradley, 88, died on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2007 Oak Ridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Rena Peterson officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church.

Peter A. Bradley was born on April 30, 1918 in Warren, MN one of eight children raised by William and Josephine (Svoboda) Bradley. He was confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church. He attended schools in Fisher and Crookston, MN as he moved with his family. Pete eventually moved to Thief River Falls with his family and farmed in Norden Township. Pete also worked other jobs in the Thief River Falls area.

Pete entered into service during World War II with the United States Army Air Force. He spent a great deal of time in Scotland. Following his Honorable Discharge, Pete returned to the family farm in Norden Township, west of Thief River Falls, MN and continued to farm with his family. He loved the farm life.

Peter was united in marriage to Eleanor Christofferson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple made their home on the Bradley farm in Norden Township and in 1998 moved into Thief River Falls. Pete was an active member of Oak Ridge Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday school for a time. He was also a member of the Thief River Falls American Legion Post.

Pete loved to read, play his guitar, and especially enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor of Thief River Falls; sisters and brother, Irene (Richard) Strobel of California, Grace Bonawitz of Moorhead, MN, Howard Bradley of St. Paul, MN, Fern (James) Heifort of Moorhead, MN; sister-in-law, Esther Bradley of Crookston,MN; he is survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friend of Eleanor and Pete, June Thrane.

He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Jack and Raymond; sister, Florence; and half-brothers and sisters, Donald Bradley, Alma Anderson, Harry Bradley and Bernice Olson.
