Obituary

Phyllis Beauchamp, 69, died on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at her daughter's home in Red Lake Falls, MN, with her children by her side after a courageous battle with kidney failure due to an aneurism.

A Memorial Service honoring Phylliss life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Graff officiating. Burial will take place in the Spring at Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.

Phyllis Louise Beauchamp was born in Edna Township, MN, on February 10, 1942 the daughter of Lloyd and Rose Marie (Ferguson) Grundy. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith, both at Bethany Lutheran in Red Lake Falls, MN. Phyllis attended country school and later attended Perham High School.

Phyllis moved to the Thief River Falls area in 1973 and later moved to Red Lake Falls and began working for the City of Red Lake Falls until her retirement in 2004.

The love of her family was always very important to Phyllis. She enjoyed the outdoors and would spend hours in her garden. Every fall, Phyllis spent a lot of time canning the produce she grew. Phyllis and her children shared many special memories, especially going to rummage sales, making lefse, playing cards, and Bingo. Her other favorite pastimes were metal detecting and putting puzzles together.

Phyllis will be remembered as a good friend to many and greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Renee (Daniel) Waling of Pinewood, MN, Kevin Loerzel of Thief River Falls, MN, Wanda Waling of Red Lake Falls, MN, Sharon Loerzel of Red Lake Falls, MN, Dean (Cheryl) Loerzel of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Daniel (Karla) Loerzel of Middle River, MN; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Klasen, Shawn Waling, Travis Waling, Dallas Waling, Travis Blair, Alyssa Watt, Steven Waling, Thomas J. Waling, Lindsay Loerzel, Chasity Wegscheid, James D. Loerzel, Nicole Loerzel, and Brandon Loerzel; 6 great-grandchildren, Tessah Halling, Tucker Waling, Emma Waling, Jackson Watt, Casen Jewell, and Zoya Wegscheid; sisters and brothers, Janet Bachleitner of Minneapolis, MN, Richard (Adeline) Grundy of Great Falls, MT, Lloyd (Darlene) Grundy of Penrose, CO, and LaVonne (Bruce) Bagstad of East Grand Forks, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Andrew Biever Waling; brothers, James Grundy and Calvin Grundy; sisters, Juanita Grundy, Charlotte Grundy, and Doris Stoderl and her special friend and neighbor, Carol Larson.
