Phyllis Lorraine Doucette was born June 27, 1922 at Vinton, IA, the daughter of Phillip and Nora (Gangness) Doucette. She attended school in Iowa for a short time and then moved to Thief River Falls, MN with her family when she was 7 years old.

On April 16, 1940, Phyllis was united in marriage to Alvin Albert Jablinske in Thief River Falls, MN. She owned and operated the 3rd Street Caf with her mother for about 5 years in the mid 1950s. She then worked at Gamble Robinson as a bookkeeper for 12 years. The couple moved to Baudette after retiring and lived there for almost 20 years. Phyllis moved back to Thief River Falls in 1997 after the death of her husband, Alvin.

She is survived by 2 children, Bob Jablinske and Judy Jablinske both of Thief River Falls, MN; 7 grandchildren, Laurie (Randy) Harger, Pam (fianc, Keith Daley), Deb (Jim) Trautner, Karla (Bob) Crawley, Rob (Rebecca) Jablinske, Jeff (Sandy) Jablinske; 16 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; grand daughters, Luana Hoffman and Penny Sorenson; a great grandson, Chad Jablinske, and her parents.

Phyllis Jablinske, 89, died on Sunday, July 03, 2011 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls.
