Pok Sun Soon Maslowski, 56, died on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at her home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Mark Helgeland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held 5-8 on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday.

Pok Sun HAN was born on July 14, 1951 to Pong Kil HAN and Dal Kum Ahn SO in Seoul, Korea. She grew up in Korea and attended school. She met Scott Alan Maslowski during the Vietnam War. He stayed a third year in the service just because he had fallen in love with Sun. He returned home and mailed her an engagement ring and she travels to the states to accept his proposal on Christmas Day. They were united in marriage on February 4, 1974 in Cloquet, MN. They made their home in Alexandria while Scott was going to college. They then moved to Middle River in Marshall County for three years. They then moved to Thief River Falls, MN. To this union two children were born.

Sun worked at Model Laundry in the 1980s for many years, then Northern Pride for a few years, and currently at Arctic Cat for the past 11 years.

Sun loved to cook and could cook for an Army. She had a flair to cook Korean style. She loved spending time with the grandchildren and was always surrounded by kids. She did a lot of babysitting for family and friends. She enjoyed a good nap and had a quiet side to her. Sun enjoyed walking all anywhere. She was a caregiver to everyone, especially helping her husband Scott during his illness.

She is survived by her husband Scott, Red Lake Falls, MN, daughter LuAnne (Wayne) Stang, Wahoo, NE, son Shawn (Missy) Maslowski, Thief River Falls, MN, 3 grandchildren, Darian and Deena Stang, Jace Maslowski, 3 sisters, Chom Sun HAN, Chom Ye HAN, Sun Tok Han, , 1 brother Kvong Sop HAN, and her mother Dal Kum Ahn SO in Korea.

She was preceded in death by her father Pon Kil HAN and one brother.
