Ramona Gail Bush of Fosston, MN passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Sanford Bagley Medical Center in Bagley, MN due to congestive heart failure.
Ramona Gail Chervestad was born May 2, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Juell and Annabelle (Tasa) Chervestad. She was baptized and confirmed at Oak Park Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN. Ramona attended her elementary school years at Deer Park Township, District #52, and graduated from Oklee High School with the class of 1965.
Upon graduation, she moved to the Mpls/St. Paul area for employment with Sears, Univac (Lockheed Martin), several years with Medtronic and lastly, with Empi Inc (the first company to offer a TENS in the USA) as a Training Specialist and Dept-Head of Inventory Control. Ramona was currently employed by the Lengby Roadhouse Casino, Lengby, MN, as a cashier. Ramona was a very punctual, dedicated, and loyal employee.
In her early years, several of her hobbies included skiing, snowmobiling, dancing, golfing, bowling, and completing difficult crossword puzzles.
On August 16, 1980, Ramona was united in marriage to Randall Bush at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul, MN.
In 2014, Ramona retired and relocated to Panama City Beach, Florida where she resided until 2018. Her creative sewing/crafts were incredibly beautiful and very popular at her new residence and added to her circle of friends. During the next several years, she stitched an astonishing number of pieces that she displayed at craft fairs, Etsy, and other on-line sites. Ramona had strong opinions and enjoyed debating current events. She liked being involved in the political process and often served as a precinct election official. As much as she appreciated the warm weather in Florida, it never felt like home, so she returned to Minnesota and assisted in caring for her mother, Annabelle.
She is survived by five siblings: Karen (Richard) Mathson of Panama City Beach, FL, Joy (James) Johnson of Fairmont, MN, Kim (Barb) Chervestad of Oklee, MN, Dawn (Elden) Neuschwander of Grygla, MN and Tami (James) Sparby of Grygla, MN; nieces and nephews: Brandon (Kristine) Mathson, Braque (Anna) Mathson, Tian (Andrew) Kuehl, Tanir (Holly) Mathson, Keisha (Jakob) Bleichner, Kalane (Justin) Brandenburg, Jenell (Mike) Xenos, Jodi (Ryan) Carreon, Jenna (Kevin) Clay, Jessica (Brett) Knudson, Larissa (Alex) Bloedel, Brett Chervestad, Todd Chervestad, Tylor Chervestad, Dustin (Faith) Neuschwander, Courtney (Travis) Tennancour, Heath (Michelle) Neuschwander, Jordan (Joe) Mertens, Brooke (Zach) Blasky, Shane Neuschwander, Whitney (Brady) Otteson, Kallie (Travis) Dougherty, David Sparby, Briley (Mikenzie) Sparby, Levi Sparby and 42 great nieces and great nephews.
