Ranae Diane Knaffla (Rux) was born on February 10, 1959, in Thief River Falls. She grew up with her parents, Elaine and Wayne Kruse, and her siblings, Randy, Rick, Rob, Penny, and Jon.

In May 1990 she married Michael "Mick" Knaffla, and they shared 32 years together until he passed in October of 2022, after which Ranae moved to Hernando, FL to live out the remainder of her years enjoying the warm weather and new opportunities until she passed on February 13, 2025.

Ranae's biggest loves in life were God, her family, and cooking. You could often find her cooking a meal for 20-30 people with ease. Many summers were also spent by her pool with a book and some good music. She was very outspoken on her love for God, often sharing verses daily on her social media.

She will be missed dearly by her father, Wayne Kruse; her siblings, Rick (Stephanie), Rob, Penny (Jimmy), and Jon; her children, Blaire, Chris (Sabrina), Kelly (Jesse), Sean (Veronica), Nikki (Ben), and Michael (Kali); along with many cousins, grandchildren, and friends. She is greeted in Heaven by her mother, Elaine; aunt, Eunice; brother, Randy; husband, Mick; bonus sons, Matthew and Nathan; and niece, Amy.

Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Hilaire Community Center, rural St. Hilaire, MN.
