Obituary

Randy Ray Berry, 71 of Newfolden, MN passed away on October 31, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer since January 2020.

Randy was born on August 10, 1949 in Richfield, MN to Beverly (Dodge) and Jack Berry. Randy was retired and living in Newfolden, MN with his wife, Cheryl Berry of 37 years and his dog, Milo.

Randy is survived by his wife Cheryl Berry; 5 children, Roger Berry of Germany, Tanya Peterson (Mike) of Newfolden, Tammy Berry of Newfolden, Matthew Berry (Jess) of Newfolden and Breana Berry (Jr.) of Karlstad, MN; 5 grandchildren, Alina, Moritz, Kaydence, Madalyn and Emma; 5 siblings, Linda Anderson, Gary Berry (Lillian), Jack Berry (Donna), Pam Kamrowski (Mark) and Debbie Herman (Bob); and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides spending time with his family, Randy had a passion for hunting, enjoyed the outdoors, watching CNN and caring for his spoiled dog, Milo. Randy had a great sense of humor. He could make anybody smile, even if they were having a bad day. If you had the privilege to meet Randy, you always left smiling after seeing him.

"I met Randy at the job we both worked at, he was my boss. The most handsome, loving man in the world. His was my world along with our kids. We had a wonderful loving marriage and life together that ended way too soon. Anyone that met him loved him instantly. He was a jokester and all out funny loving man. He left a smile on everyone's face when they left him. He made a huge impression on this world. He was a wonderful father to his 5 kids. He was in the military for 2 years and was a generator mechanic on a huge mountain in Germany during the Vietnam War, and thankfully made it home safe and unharmed to brighten the world and touch all the hearts of people he met. God needed him in heaven to brighten it up from new on, so he took him from us way too soon. He went to see his mom in heaven and those two will be causing havoc up there now…heaven is in trouble now. There are too many memories to share." Cheryl

To the best father, husband, man that has ever been in my life. "Randy (Dad) loved to tell me stories about back when he was in the service in Germany. I loved to hear everything about it. When he went hunting, he loved to sit out there and listen to the nature wake up and go back to sleep in the evening. In the morning he would come home from his hunting journey and tell me about all the deer that he seen when he was out there. Dad lived to hunt, he lived for the outdoors, gardening, making trenches, anything outside. He loved to spend time with his kids and his wife. He was the best man I could have had in my life. I am honored to have called him my father. He will forever be in my heart, my mind, my soul. I will never forget who he was. I miss his laugh, his smile, his kind words, and his hugs, his words of wisdom and looked forward to every story that he shared and anything that he wanted to talk about. I will never forget who he was. He will always be my father; I will still look up to him for guidance and I will always talk to him. I know that he is no longer in pain and that he is in a better place with the rest of the family watching over us all and I hope that he will always find a way to let us all know that he is still here with us." Breana

A Celebration of Life will be held August 14, 2021, the weekend of Randy's birthday. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
