Randy John Glass, 50, of Mentor, MN died on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his rural Mentor home of natural causes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mentor with Msgr. Roger Grundhaus officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery at Mentor, MN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Randy John Glass was born April 9, 1959 at Crookston, MN son of Virgil and Doris (Dubuque) Glass. He grew up on the family farm near Mentor, was baptized and confirmed at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mentor and graduated from Mentor High School in 1977. Following graduation Randy farmed with his father on the family farm. He lived various places in and around Mentor, but always loved the farm.

Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved the time spent with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother Doris Glass of Erskine, MN, one brother David (Kathy) Glass of Buffalo, WY, one sister Marilyn (Lewis) Doyea of Bagley, MN. He is survived by 7 nieces and nephews Stacey (Mike) Hron, Denise (Nathan) LaFriniere, Kristi Doyea, Ryan Doyea, Darin (Melanie) Glass, DeAnn Glass and Devin Glass and 12 great nieces and nephews Amy, Ashley, Blake, Jordyn, Brandi, Austin, Kyle, Specner, Chase, Cody, Jaylee, and Kinzie. Randy is preceded in death by his father Virgil Glass.
