Rebecca "Becky" Routier, 57 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away suddenly on Friday, February 28, 2020 at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM until 7:00PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls in the spring.

Rebecca Lynn Guzek was born November 3, 1962 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Clarence Francis and Lorraine Marie (Koralewski) Guzek. She was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne, MN. She attended school in Red Lake Falls graduating from Lafayette High School with the class of 1981.

She attended a cooking school in Detroit Lakes, MN where she met Jesse Dahlquist. The couple were married and to this union a daughter Sarah was born.

In 1993, Becky attended the University of Minnesota Crookston where she graduated from the Nutritionist/Dietitian Program.

While living in Red Lake Falls in 1995, Becky married William "Bill" Routier and they made their home in Oklee, MN. To this union three years later a daughter Amanda was born.  While living in Oklee, Becky worked at the Oklee School.

In 2004 the family moved to Thief River Falls where Becky worked at several places including, cooking at Seven Clans Casino, cooking at the Pennington County Jail and working at Walmart.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls and enjoyed volunteering to serve at funeral lunches, Family Faith Night, Friday night Fish Fry and many other church activities. Becky also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, making others laugh, helping others, shopping, playing at the casino, visiting with family and friends and Becky especially enjoyed being a Mom and Grandma.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Sarah (Derek) Casavan and Amanda (Jamie Martin) Routier; grandchildren, Luke, Jocelyn, Brooklyn and Zoey; mother, Lorraine Guzek all of Thief River Falls; siblings, Sister Sheryl Guzek of Hudson, WI, Greg (Barb) Guzek of Thief River Falls, MN, Scott (Janelle) Guzek of Farmington, MN, Jason (Shelly) Guzek of Newfolden, MN; nieces & nephews, Brittany (Bryce) Campbell, Lindsey Guzek, Alyssa Guzek, Breanna (Cory) Giebel, Kaitlyn (Josh) Taylor, Travis (Kelly) Moen, Taran Moen; great nieces, Brynn Moen, Hadley Moen & Ivy Campbell; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence; an infant sister; and nephews, Nathan Guzek and Taylor Moen.
