Renee M. Erickson, 76, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND with her loving family at her side.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Alex Amiot officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Renee Marion Martin was born on November 8, 1941 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Hjalmer and Ruth (Clementson) Martin.  She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN.  She attended school in Newfolden graduating with the class of 1959.  Following high school, Renee attended the AVTI in Thief River Falls receiving her Associate Degree.  She later attended Bemidji State where she studied Accounting and met her husband, John Erickson.

They were married on December 26, 1963 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN.  The couple made their home in Browns Valley, MN before returning to live in Thief River Falls in 1966.  To this union a daughter, Faye was born.

Renee worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses in Thief River Falls.

Renee was very active with the Lake Itasca Pioneer Farmers.  She loved knitting, crafts, and puzzles.

Survivors include her loving husband, John of Thief River Falls; daughter, Faye Erickson of Fargo, ND; sisters, Audrey (Victor) Nelson of Duluth, MN, Kay (Stan) Wood of Lake Crystal, MN; brother-in-law, Jerry Elseth of Crookston, MN; sister-in-law, Janet Letnes Martin of Hastings, MN; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Carol Elseth and Neil Martin.
