Rick Paulson, 56, of Lake Bronson, MN passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 in Stephen, MN.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Frank Ehling Officiating. Burial will be held at the St. Hilaire Community Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN.

Visitation will be held starting at 12:00 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.

Rick Shayne Paulson was born May 10, 1959 at Minneapolis, MN son of Fred and Betty (Chermack) Paulson. He was raised and attended school at Blaine, MN, graduating from Blaine High School in 1977. He worked in Minneapolis as an auto body mechanic. Rick moved to Thief River Falls, MN in 1988 where he worked for the Pipeline, and then at Northwest Auto body in Thief River Falls.

Rick met Sherri Boman and a son Ricky was born January 17, 1990. Rick moved to Goodridge and continued with the Body Shop, Sherri passed away in 1995, and Rick moved to Rosewood, Stephen, MN and currently resided in Lake Bronson.

Rick loved to work on cars, enjoyed fishing but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his grandson Samuel.

Rick was a Certified Collision Repair Technician; he was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America.

He is survived by his son, Ricky (girlfriend Tyra Hanson) Paulson of Lake Bronson, MN; grandson, Samuel Paulson; sisters, Jean Livingston of Minneapolis, MN and Linda Bourman of Mound, MN; nieces and nephews, Christine, Kathy, Jesse, Jeff, Robert, Lisha; and great-nephew Geovanny.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rob & Jeff Barnett, aunt Ester Paulson, grandparents, and other family and friends.
