Rita Morinville McDonald, 86, died on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the home of her sister-in-law, Yvonne Morinville in Brooks, MN. A private rosary and Traditional Tridentine Latin Mass will be held at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Brooks, MN. Rita C. Morinville was born in Terrebonne, MN on September 22, 1925 to William and Eva (Miller) Morinville. The family soon moved to Brooks, MN where she lived her early years. She was baptized at St. Anthony Church, Terrebonne, MN and confirmed at St. Joseph Church in Brooks, MN. She graduated in 1943 from Pershing High School in Plummer, MN. She then left for St. Louis, MO to join her sister, Arabelle. She worked there until 1946 when she moved to San Rafael, CA to join her sister, Verla and worked in an orphanage for about 3 years. On February 12, 1971, Rita was united in marriage to James R. McDonald in San Rafael, CA. Rita worked as a dental receptionist/assistant for 50 years in San Rafael and Santa Rosa, CA. Following the death of her husband in 2005, Rita moved back to Brooks, MN where she lived with her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Yvonne Morinville. She was a member of the Traditional Roman Catholic Immaculate Heart Chapel in Brooks, MN. Rita enjoyed reading, gardening, and teaching catechism. Survivors include her brother, William (Sheila) Morinville of Georgetown, TX; sister-in-law, Yvonne Morinville of Brooks, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva; 3 sisters, Verla Asselin, Arabelle Sullentrop, and Donna Walker; and 2 brothers, Emmitt and Lawrence.
