Robert Bob Kalbakdalen, 46, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on February 23, 2001 at his home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at 2:00 PM in Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls with Reverend Troy Bates Officiating. Burial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Robert Maynard Kalbakdalen was born July 7, 1954 in Red Lake Falls, MN son of Maynard and Joan (Ford) Kalbakdalen. He was raised in Red Lake Falls and Graduated from Lafayette High School in 1972. He entered the US Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War serving aboard the USS Wabash in the Gulf of Tonkin and in San Francisco. Following his honorable discharge he returned Red Lake Falls. He worked for Northern Woodworking in Thief River Falls, MN. The past several year he has been employed at Eagle Square in Red Lake Falls.
Bob was a Christian who enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening and politics. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Red Lake Falls.
Bob is survived by his parents Maynard and Joan Kalbakdalen of Red Lake Falls, MN; sisters Deb (Frank) Moran of Red Lake Falls, MN; Gail (Tony) Podenski of Red Lake Falls, MN; Lisa (Mark) Violette of Red Lake Falls, MN; brothers Jeff (Diane) Kalbakdalen of Red Lake Falls and Dan (Molly) Kalbakdalen of Fargo, ND. One daughter Melissa Ann Soderlund of Red Lake Falls, MN; Grandmother Gladys Kalbakdalen of Red Lake Falls, MN and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Melvin Kalbakdalen; maternal grandparents Joseph and Eleanor Ford: uncles and aunts.
