Robert Sandsmark, 85, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home, McIntosh, MN.

Graveside service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Valle Cemetery, rural Grygla, MN.

Laverne Robert Sandsmark was born May 8, 1920 in Waukegan, IL and was adopted by John and Margaret (Teigland) Sandsmark. He grew up and lived most of his life in Waukegan, IL. He also lived in Yakima, WA, Grygla, MN in 1963 and then Thief River Falls in 1980, until he went to the Nursing Home in April of 1999.

He served in the United States Army during World War II in Europe. He worked numerous jobs including Johnson Motors in Waukegan, IL.

Preceded in death by parents. Only survivors are numerous cousins.
