Robert William Vogt, age 57 passed away at his residence in Thief River Falls, MN on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 on Monday, April 15, 2013 PM at Johnson Funeral Service. Robert William Vogt was born April 5, 1956 in Bay Shore, NY, the son of William and Florence Vogt. He graduated from Central Islip Senior High School. Robert served as a Boy Scout leader in his early 20's. On August 17, 1995 Robert was united in marriage to Carmen Galizia. The couple raised three children, Robert, Melissa and Tiana. Robert worked as a mechanic, chef, baker, as a manager, and was a Masonite worker building pools and ponds. His hobbies and interests included cars and collecting coins, stamps, sunglasses, watches, hats, rings, necklaces, and motorcycles. Robert is survived by his children, Robert Galizia of Thief River Falls, MN, Melissa (Thomas Daniels) Aberle of Thief River Falls, MN, and Tiana Vogt of Chanute, KS; grandchildren, Jadyn Comstock, Gabrielle Aberle, Bentley Galizia, and soon to be, Brantley Dennis; mother; Florence Vogt of New York; brothers and sisters, Valerie Vogt, Judy Spitzig, Sharon, David Vogt, Ronnie Vogt, and Tommy Vogt, and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William; sister, Debbie Vogt, and his brother, Ronnie Holmes.
