Roger D. Duden, 59, of rural Plummer, MN died on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at Dakota Heartland Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2000 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, MN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Roger Dean Duden was born March 27, 1941 in Crookston, MN son of the Late George and Elsie (Kliner) Duden. He attended school in St. Hilaire, MN and farmed with his father. On March 26, 1960 he was united in marriage to Mildred Bruggeman at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple purchased a farm near Plummer, MN where he farmed and also was a truck driver. The past 6 years he was employed by tran-systems.
Roger enjoyed horses, chariot racing, camping, his blue healer dog and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Duden of Plummer, MN; children Virginia Duden of Plymouth, MN, Monica (Brian) Jones of Goodridge, MN, Laura (Tony) Rubischko of Goodridge, MN, Perry (Laurie) Duden of Red Lake Falls, MN, Sandra (Dean) Hesse of Red Lake Falls, MN, Rodney (Jody) Duden of Young America, MN, Bradley (special friend Vicki) Duden of Red Lake Falls, MN and Rose Hanson of Red Lake Falls, MN. 17 grandchildren Derrek, Ashley, Joshua, Melroy Jr., Nicholas, Amy, Joseph, Andrew, Sarah, Otto, William, Emma, David, Harlee, Bridget, Katie, Bobbi Leigh and 2 step grandchildren Ridge and Thorne. One sister Evelyn (Bernard) Huot of St. Hilaire, MN and many nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his Parents George and Elsie Duden and one sister Sandra Duden.
