OBITUARY NOTICE FOR ROGER KEZAR
THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN
Roger Kezar, 67, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Jim Howard officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Friday, April 2, 2004, at Johnson-Green Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.

Roger Kezar was born June 19, 1936, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Milton and Frances (Anderson) Kezar. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Middle River, MN. He grew up and attended school in Middle River and graduated from high school there in 1955.

Roger entered the United States Air Force September 23, 1955 and served his country in Korea and Japan. He was honorably discharged September 21, 1962. Following his discharge, he worked in construction at St. Paul, MN until 1963, when he moved to Thief River Falls and began employment with Firestone Tire Co. until his retirement in 1996.

On October 19, 1957, Roger was united in marriage to Harriet Erickson in Las Vegas, NV.

Roger was a member of Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls and was active in church activities and did volunteer work there as well. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and Ducks Unlimited.

Roger enjoyed spending time at the cabin near Thief Lake, where he would do farm work and spent time hunting with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, reading and anything to do with airplanes, having over 4000 hours in the air. Roger enjoyed visiting with people and sharing stories, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survived by wife Harriet, Thief River Falls, MN; children, Rick (Peggy), Thief River Falls, MN, Scott (Joleen), Warroad, MN, Michelle (Scott) Gratzek, Grand Forks, ND, Ryan (Christine), Thief River Falls, MN and Melissa (Phil) Langowski, Hastings, MN; grandchildren, Kallie, Katie, Kory, Kendra, Sarah and Megan; brother, Randy (Renie) Kezar, Thief River Falls, MN; mother and father-in-law, Gladys and Clarence Erickson, Thief River Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, brother-in-law, Roger Erickson.
