Roger Ranum, 62, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his home in Plummer, MN.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Jonathan Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Agdar Township, Marshall County, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.

Roger Alan Ranum was born on June 13, 1946 to Stanley Alfred and Violet (Senum) Ranum in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended school in Warren, MN and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1964. After graduation, Roger worked at Dow Key Company and took drafting at the Thief River Falls Vocational School.

Roger served his country in the US Army beginning in 1965. He was in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. After coming home from the service, he did carpentry work with his dad and other construction companies in the area.

He is survived by his mother Violet, Plummer, MN, 3 sisters: Jane (Robert) Anenson, Mounds View, MN, Sandy (Larry) Anenson, St. Hilaire, MN, and Susan (Bob) Brekke, Surprise, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Stanley and his brother Virgil.
