Roger J. Schindler, age 50, of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND of complications of a heart condition. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with Vicar John Bumgardner officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with a Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Roger John Schindler was born February 21, 1961, to the son of Edward and Jean (Amiot) Schindler at St. John's Hospital in Red Lake Falls, MN. Roger graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN in 1979. Roger was united in marriage to Brenda K. Schuster on June 10, 1989 at Zion English Lutheran Church in Grafton, ND. They first lived at Euclid, MN for 6 months, and then they moved to the family farm near Red Lake Falls. They farmed from 1989- 1993. Roger was also employed at the American Crystal Sugar from 1979 to 1996, and then he worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN where he was currently employed. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting with his son, his brothers and their sons for many years. He also enjoyed 4-wheeling, cross country skiing, target shooting, enjoying the outdoors and watching the Vikings. Survivors are his wife, Brenda and son Clay; mother, Jean, Red Lake Falls, MN; brothers, Jerome (Margaret-Markie) Schindler, Red Lake Falls, MN and Alan (Sharon) Schindler, Chaska, MN; sisters, Judy (Roger) Dziengel, Kennedy, MN, Germaine (Floyd) Balstad, Erskine, MN, Dorothy (Leroy) Nelson, Thief River Falls, MN, Anna (Michael) Frigon, Jackman, ME, Mary Lou (Donald) Huot, Alexandria, MN and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rodney (Kathy) Schuster, Kevin (Shelley) Schuster; nephew, Scott Schuster; nieces, Jamie Schuster and Kara Schuster. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward and infant brother, John. His father-in-law and mother-in law Lloyd and Margaret Schuster.
